Earvin “magic” Johnson is the most entertaining point guard in the history of NBA.  Earvin magic Johnson was selected first overall pick in the 1979 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.

 In his rookie season, he won an NBA championship and at the same time he was awarded NBA finals most valuable player. His career blossomed as years passed by.

 He had three NBA most valuable player award, nine NBA finals appearances and twelve NBA all-star game. Earvin “magic” Johnson was also a part of the NBA Dream team.

But his career ended in 1991. The world was shocked when he announced that he had contracted HIV.

In a press conference held on November 7, 1991, Johnson made a public announcement that he would retire immediately.  He stated that his wife Cookie and their unborn child did not have HIV, and that he would dedicate his life to "battle this deadly disease.

But way back before he acquired HIV, in 1981 he had a son, Andre Johnson Magic Johnson’s first son.

Andre Johnson is the first son of Earvin “Magic” Johnson. The mother of Andre is Melissa Mitchell. Although Andre was raised by his mother, magic visited them each summer spending quality time with his first son. Andre Johnson, Magic Johnson’s son works for EJE or commonly known as Magic Johnson Enterprises.

He was a marketing director and then in 2010 promoted to vice president of business development for Magic Johnson Enterprises (EJE). Andre Johnson Magic Johnson’s son has a very big responsibility for EJE.

 He is in charge of taking current relationships, partnerships and growing them to build or enhance future business opportunities by assessing and understanding the marketplace, prioritizing market segments for development, identifying new business opportunities and analyzing their feasibility and facilitating the successful execution of business development initiatives.

Andre Johnson Magic Johnson’s Son was instrumental in managing the daily operations of the Canyon-Johnson Urban Fund.

Andre did not inherit the basketball skill of his father. But both of them have the same skill in assisting. Magic Johnson is considered in the NBA as one of the top assist leaders.

While Andre Johnson Magic Johnson’s Son assists in the selection and implementation of new real estate project and help to grow the existing portfolio of 31 investments across the nation.

In My Opinion

Although Andre Johnson Magic Johnson’s Son did not inherit the basketball skills of Earvin “Magic” Johnson, he remained successful in his career just like his father.

Some children of famous athletes would pursue to become just like their parents. Some of them are pressured especially their parents had great achievements in sports. But Andre Johnson is different. He took his own path of life. He did not follow his father’s footsteps.

He did not want to become a famous basketball player just like his dad. But he pursued his own dreams in the business sector. Andre Johnson is now a successful man.

Not In the world of sports but in the world of business and economy. We should all remember that we should pursue what we want to be in the future and not pursue what others want us to be in the future.

We can be successful if we trust ourselves and if we have the will to follow our goals. Andre Johnson’s career is also tough. Or should I say much tougher than his father’s career.

 He deals with people almost everyday while his father deals with his own skills and performance each game. But we should not compare both of their skills because they came from different worlds. World of business and world of basketball are different.

What makes them similar is the blood that is flowing in their veins.

Andre Johnson may not be seen in television just like his father playing almost every night, but he has his own way of fame and success in life.

Charlie had been in a meeting Wednesday morning with a friend when he complained of difficulty in breathing. Charlie and his friend rush to the hospital when they passed an emergency medical services vehicle on the side of the road and stopped for help.

Wilson had undergone a heart transplant at Methodist Hospital in Houston in September 2007, moved back to Lufkin when he retired from Congress in 1997 after having served since 1973.

Wilson suffered from cardiomyopathy a disease that causes an enlarged and weakened heart. If without a transplant he would be dying.

The former congressman was became mastermind for his efforts in leading U.S. support to Afgahnistan during the Afghan-Soviet war.

During his early age he was best known as hard-drinking, hard-partying with beautiful women. That’s why he was called Good Time Charlie.

During his more than two decades in Washington, Good Time Charlie was became a movie and portrayed by Tom Hanks in the 2007 movie.

The movie was about Afghan-Soviet war. Wilson was able to help the Afghans from his seat on the House Appropriations Committee and from another on its subcommittee on foreign operations.

The Soviets had invaded Afghanistan in 1979, invited by the pro-Communist government there in the face of an insurgency.

He wanted more money and more weapons because he thought the communists could be beaten faster.

So with Wilson’s help and support they had money allocated to help the Afghan Mujadhideen’s jihad to expel the Soviets. A key $17 million for stinger missiles to shoot down Soviet attack helicopters included. The money was nearly a billion dollars.

In later years Mr. Wilson insisted that the United States had not made a mistake by supporting the Afghan rebels, among them Osama bin Laden and the Islamists who would form the Taliban regime. He said if the United States had helped rebuild Afghanistan, it would have remained stable and not become a safe haven for Al Qaeda.

But people in Pakistan certainly remember him as the face of the U.S. support for the Afghan mujahideen.

When describing the moment Wilson returned to Washington after his first trip to Afghanistan, Crile wrote: "He was no longer just responsible for funding an exotic, important foreign policy. Now, in the minds of his colleagues, it really was becoming Charlie Wilson's war. Charlie was personally fighting the Russians."

Wilson loved the book, he also loved the movie and loved hobnobbing with the Hollywood stars.

He was recovering from the heart transplant during that time when the movie was released. His activities were limited.

Just to attend the opening, he made it to the Los Angeles opening not just with his old friends but also his cardiologist and large amounts of medical equipment.

He assured that he can make it to the opening because it was his moment.

Charlie Wilson is a generous person very kind. He will help people with all his heart. He is so funny because he is known for hiring gorgeous women in his office who came to be known as Charlie’s Angels.

Multiple fans that were injured in Saturday's crash at Daytona International Speedway have obtained legal counsel and plan on suing NASCAR for the scary event that injured 33 spectators.

At least three NASCAR fans  are planning to sue the Daytona International Speedway over a crash that injured more than 30 spectators.

The incident took place toward the end of a Nationwide race, as a car zoomed into the fence in front of the grandstand bleachers.

According to WFTV, drivers such as Tony Stewart have visited those hospitalized, while NASCAR has sent a customer service representative to check on them - but it's not enough for some Nascar Fans to sue  who are after legal.

No Nascar Fans to sue assumes the risk of a car flying in the stands and suffering a significant injury.

Three of the injured spectators have contacted the personal injury law firm Morgan and Morgan about a lawsuit. The firm’s founder John Morgan said that four other fans have made appointments to meet about their legal options because of  nascar fans to sue.

Morgan told the Daytona Beach News Journal that the main focus of the lawsuit will deal with the “assumption of risk.”

Morgan said that basketball fans sitting courtside assume that they are at some risk since there is no barrier between them and the players.

The Nascar Fans  at the Daytona International Speedway, however, had no reason to assume that they were at risk since they were sitting behind a protective fence.

We all know that when you go to a race you assume a certain amount of risk. But what people don't assume is that a race car will come flying into the stands.

Some argue that spectators at races assume the risk of injury by attending such an event. The tickets even say that they do. But not everyone is sure of that.

This case here is going to be different because the fans who were sitting behind that fencing did not really assume a risk like you would think, because they were assured that fence could weather anything coming through it.

But I think Nascar Fans to sue also have to agree that the fencing that’s up is there for a reason, and they’d expect that that fence would withstand tires being blown through it.

Some experts say there could be grounds for a lawsuit, and that courts have looked past liability waivers written on the backs of sporting event tickets. Others maintain the ticket is a legal contract that could be hard to overcome in court.

Three Nascar fans have already signed on to sue “Nascar Fans to sue”  Daytona over the crash and that more people have scheduled meetings. A representative for the Speedway, however, said that they have not received any legal notices about a lawsuit.

The lawsuit, if filed, will focus on the manufacturers of the 22-foot high fence and whether it was sufficient enough for an accident of this nature.

Daytona would likely be "very much responsible" because of it being foreseeable that debris could go through a fence that has holes in it  in which a car that launched into the catch fence sent debris into the stands and injured several Nascar fans to sue.

OPINION:

I  think the fact there was a breach, in fact, in their ‘security,’ certainly could open them up.

In the end, if it goes to court, a jury will end up making the decision about who, from the Nascar fans to sue. The driver to the raceway to NASCAR itself  is responsible for the injuries and who has to pay to Nascar fans. Ultimately, I believe it would be gross negligence. In terms of this fence,it was put up to prevent people from being hurt. You have people who were not only injured by falling debris, but by the failure of the fence.

A ticket to one of these events is like a contract and its provisions limiting liability are generally enforceable. We enter into these types of contracts on a regular basis, and we often don't give it a second thought that we may be limiting or even giving up certain legal rights when we do so. NASCAR had an obligation to protect the Nascar fans that are so loyal, and it is bad from a public relations standpoint So they're going to do something about the issue of Nascar fans.

A sophomore student at San Lorenzo High School in San Lorenzo, Calif Teen Dies Playing Chicken with two friends.

Austice Price, was playing chicken game with his two friends at 6pm Thursday.  Price was struck by a train and killed.  Teen Dies Playing Chicken failed to leap out of the path and hit by the oncoming train.

Playing chicken game is played how long you could stay on the tracks while waiting for the train. And that’s what happened to the young boy. He was out of the time and stayed too long.

Teen Dies Playing Chicken was killed by a northbound Capitol Corridor train when Price and his two friends on the tracks. His two friends managed to jump off the train track while Price couldn’t jumped off. The train was heading to Sacramento to San Jose.

The two teens weren’t hurt.

The chicken game was very popular to the students of San Lorenzo High School. They play it all the time on the train tracks area. There are warning signs and a fence for the student to keep off the tracks. But the many students tend to ignore the warnings.

“It’s an ongoing concern,” the principal said. “Tragedies don’t happen frequently, but we know the tracks are not staying empty.”

"Life is precious," Scruggs said.

According to Price’s classmates, Austice Price was a good boy. He liked to make people laugh. He is always late at school just because he always picked up his classmate. He was late at class to pick up his friend’s home to walk with her to school.

“He was a good person — one of those good people you come across every day,” Olympia said. “He genuinely cared.”

Olympia Pereira is Price’s long time friend.

Friends of Price were gathered on a bench at the school Friday and laughing quietly with their memories of Price.

Price is easy go lucky person. He dressed as if he didn’t care what people thought of him. He always shaking out the shoulder-length hair he had been growing out since last year.

He always wearing a hat and sagging short and telling people they were beautiful.

In short, Austin Price is a caring and a sweet guy.

On Friday the school of 1500 students was in mourning of Teen Dies Playing Chicken with a large sign on campus reading, “Austin, we’ll miss you.”

Teen Dies Playing Chicken was a tragedy. Girls carried tissue boxes around campus, their red eyes and shocked. Teachers displayed photos of Austin who was a sophomore.

The school held several moments of silence and was in mourning in Austin’s honor and grief counsellors were on hand to offer support.

My Opinion

Its true life is precious so don’t waste your life and don’t take it for granted. Live life to the fullest. The life of the boy is tragic. He’s so young to his death.

Just because of the chicken game the boy’s life was taken away, Teen Dies Playing Chicken. So this is a lesson learn for the teenagers out there not only for them but to all people.

Life is short so don’t waste your time doing things not important.

Just like what happened to the young boy. They always play chicken game knowing it was dangerous and ignore the sign board. So see, what happened the Teen Dies Playing Chicken. It’s so sad. For those young girls and boys, if you know the area is dangerous don’t be hard-headed especially there are signs. Pay attention to the signs and don’t ignore it. Playing game is good and fun but sometimes you should play it on safe area.

It is fun if you do not follow the instruction. But it will always have a bad effect.  If you will not take life seriously you will regret it for the rest of your life.

At last Barney Brown freed after 38 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit.

Last September 24, 2009 Barney Brown freed after 38 years will celebrate his first year of freedom. Barney Brown freed after 38 years was one of the most egregious wrongful convictions in the history of the United States.

It was started in 1970, when Barney was falsely accused of raping a white woman and robbing her husband.

Barney was a 31 year of age, an African American child living in Hollywood, Florida. It was the most horrific day of Barney. Barney told the police that he is innocent and he didn’t know anything about the crime but the police didn’t believe him at all.

Barney was brutally interrogated.  He was beaten so badly that his right eye swelled shut. Because of that he can’t see out of it.

He went on trial in juvenile court. The victims story was inconsistent and she even couldn’t picture out if Barney was the suspect so Barney was acquitted.

He thought that his nightmare was ended there but it wasn’t. The district attorney was undeterred. The prosecutor filed a case against Barney in adult criminal court on the same charges and Barney was eventually convicted and even asked for death penalty.

In violation of the Constitution's prohibition of double jeopardy, which says a person cannot be tried for the same crime twice, Barney was convicted. The jury voted 7-5 to have mercy on Barney, and so instead of being sent to his death in the electric chair, they sentenced him to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Prison," Barney explains, "was a living hell." And yet Barney refused to be a victim. "Every day, then every year, then every decade, I knew I would get out of prison because I did nothing wrong."

You know what, it took almost 40 years after the truth prevailed.  Lawyers Benedict Kuehne and Susan Dmitrovsky took his case before Judge Antonio Marin of Florida's 11th Judicial Circuit Court.

In his written opinion, Judge Marin ordered Barney's conviction to "be vacated and the defendant discharged from all liability for the charged offense."

"This case," Judge Marin ruled, "presents a clear example of a grievous constitutional double jeopardy violation. ... Mr. Brown should have never been forced to defend himself against the same rape and robbery charges a second time. His life sentences for the 1970 adult court convictions should have never happened. His incarceration within Florida's prison system for most of his adult life should not have taken place."

It was worst because when the news about Barney’s released reached the prison on the evening of September 24, 2008, Barney Brown freed after 38 years was awful. The guards simply released him into the dark rainy night with no one to meet him and nowhere to go. That’s horrible situation.

Luckily, he noticed a guy talking on a cell phone. Fortunately, he still remembered his sister’s phone number and without hesitation he asked the stranger if he could use his phone to call her sister and tell her sister that he was already release and if she could pick up him.

For me, it was the best day of my life. I was free; free to live my life; free to help others; free to be me; Barney Brown, not Inmate 029663." Barney said.

“The message is hope, educate yourself, its empowerment,” Brown said.

While he was in prison, Barney earned his high school diploma and a college degree. When Barney Brown freed after 38 years he is currently a paralegal in Midami-Dude Country and works with youth programs.

My Opinion

Barney Brown freed after 38 years his story was very sad. Can you imagine being convicted of 38 years knowing you are innocent? That was very hard to Barney.

Why is that happening? Why people like that? Accusing someone without knowing he’s innocent.

I felt touched by his story. Barney never gave up that one day he will be free. And he was right Barney Brown freed after 38 years. So what will happen to the prosecutor attorney who violated this constitutional right? And even the judge and defense attorneys who allowed it to happen. They made a wrong decision.

The government should give Barney financial support. They accused him as if he is the suspect and convicted for 38 years, that’s horrible, so horrible.

And while Brown can never get back the time he lost in jail; the fact that he is keeping kids on the right path and helping them avoid the pain he endured is what gives him hope for the future.

I am started to admire him.
