My Opinion
For me, there is nothing wrong with having few lyrics written down. Yes, I would agree for some that as a singer he should fully memorized the lyrics. But hey singing the national anthem is not easy. If I were a singer it’s the hardest thing to do singing the national anthem.
We are not perfect, so we should also respect Luke. And regarding of his watch, yes it is disrespectful but Luke had a reason and I think his reason is valid.
At least Luke sang the national anthem the way it supposed to be and didn’t change it to RAP. His voice was beautiful and controlled. The tempo was correct there are no mishaps.
If singers will sing the national anthem, they see to it that they will deliver the song correctly. So for luke that’s what he did. He took seriously and checked if he sang it with the correct lyrics.
I’m not on the side of Luke, I can see his sincerity or devotion to the country.
I always sing our national anthem in school. Even though I always sing it I always have notes to insure I sang it correctly especially if I am in a large group. I’m still nervous and even the professional singer still get nervous.
Watch the video of Luke singing the national anthem. I am bothered by some of the players in the background that are talking with each other or chit-chatting while the national anthem was being sung.
They don’t respect the singing of national anthem. They should call the attention of the players for being disrespectful.
Luke Bryan apologizes and that’s all that matters. He apologized immediately and he gave his reason. Despite of being bash he remains thoughtful to everyone.
